England get perfect start

England’s cricketers got off to the best possible start in the first ODI against Australia.

The Aussies fell 15 runs short at the end of their 50 overs, with Anderson, Finn, Bresnan and Broad taking two wickets each whilst Morgan shone with the bat, making an unbeaten 89.

Brits impress at Wimbledon

It has been one of the best Wimbledon’s in decades for British players.

Heather Watson became the first British woman to reach the third round since 2002, outdoing British number one Elena Baltacha who was knocked out by fourth seed Kvitova 6-0 6-4 and Anne Keothavong who suffered another disappointing defeat to 10th seed Errani.

Euro 2012: The semifinals

The semifinals of Euro 2012 have been played, setting up a tasty final between Spain and Italy on Sunday.

Spain pipped Portugal on penalties whilst Italy played Germany off the park. The two will meet in Kiev with it being next to impossible to choose between them. It’s going to be an exciting one!

Portugal scraped past the Czech Republic whilst Germany cruised to a win against Greece and Spain dominated everything in their game against France, setting up some fairly juicy ties in the semifinals.
