Euro 2012: The final

Spain finally came to life in the Final of Euro 2012 as they brushed Italy aside to lift the trophy.

It was a completely different performance to every other that they had in the tournament. They were actually shooting from outside the box and trying to put the ball into the back of the net any way they could, instead of adding an extra couple of passes to try and create a “perfect goal”. Euro 2012: The semifinals

The semifinals of Euro 2012 have been played, setting up a tasty final between Spain and Italy on Sunday.

Spain pipped Portugal on penalties whilst Italy played Germany off the park. The two will meet in Kiev with it being next to impossible to choose between them. It’s going to be an exciting one! Read More…

Euro 2012: Quarterfinals

The Euro 2012 quarterfinals have been played and England have been knocked out on penalties by Italy.

Portugal scraped past the Czech Republic whilst Germany cruised to a win against Greece and Spain dominated everything in their game against France, setting up some fairly juicy ties in the semifinals.

Euro 2012: Round 3

The last round of group games has been played and now we know who is through, and who is out, of Euro 2012.

Obviously, the major shock is that the Netherlands have left the competition, finishing bottom of their group after losing all three games. Another shock is that of Group A. How Greece and Czech Republic managed to literally turn the tables on Russia and Poland is beyond me. Read More…
